Beginnings:
After over 35 years of running a successful timber business, our founder, Jon Hemstreet, decided to buy a fully hydraulic Wood-Mizer LT50 Mill with the intention of using it for his own timber property. Little did he know, that would be the beginning of a booming custom lumber business. With the inclusion of family and a few close friends Jon has built a God honoring business that is continuing to grow, while maintaining the integrity of our surrounding timberland and using each piece of wood to its full potential. |
Wood Management:
Much of the Douglas Fir we use comes straight from our own sustainable timber farm, the rest are salvaged logs left over from local logging companies. We are proud of our forestry management background through all facets of the process from deciding which area to thin for tree health, harvesting and replanting, and finally maintaining the forests for wildlife enhancement by making sure our property is a safe haven for local wildlife. The Oak, Black Walnut, and others come from a variety of sources including windfall and residential removal. It is a rewarding experience for us to be able to reclaim logs that would otherwise be used for firewood or tossed aside and give them a second chance at life and beauty. We take pride in providing a beautiful and high-quality product that you can enjoy for many generations. |
