After being submerged in the Willamette River for over 100 years, these Fir Logs are the remnants of the lumber used in the Linnton Sawmill between 1904 and 1921, Having been recently excavated and salvaged during a clean up project on the river, these are a truly remarkable piece of Oregon's history! The spalting process in our Maple and Alder wood has changed the naturally light-colored wood causing an eruption of red, brown, and black figures, bordered by black and white zone lines, with a red hue throughout.
